Privacy policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

This policy explains what information StoqBook ("we", "us") collects when a business uses StoqBook, and how it is used.

What we collect

How we use it

We use this information to run StoqBook for the business, to keep accounts secure, to give support, and to send alerts the business has chosen to receive (for example low-stock alerts by email or WhatsApp). We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

WhatsApp and email

If a user turns on WhatsApp alerts, their phone number is used to send those alerts through the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta. Messages are subject to Meta's own terms and privacy policy. Users can turn alerts off at any time in StoqBook, or reply to ask us to stop.

Who can see a business's data

Each business's data is kept separate from every other business. Only people the business has added can see it, according to the role they were given. StoqBook support staff can look at an account only when the owner gives permission, and each such view is logged.

Service providers

We use hosting, email and messaging providers (including Meta for WhatsApp) to run the service. They process data only to provide those services. Where AI features are used, only the content needed for that feature (for example a supplier bill photo) is sent to the AI provider.

Keeping data safe

Passwords are stored in hashed form, access is controlled by role, and data is backed up regularly. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your choices

A business owner can correct or delete data inside StoqBook. To ask for your data to be deleted or for a copy of it, email us at the address below.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
